Longstreth Hosts Little Cities Potluck

Thirty-five people gathered at the recent quarterly potluck meeting of the Little Cities of Black Diamonds Council held at the park in the former mining community of Longstreth located near Carbon Hill in Hocking County.  Council member and historian Rodney Galentin presented an entertaining history of the series of mining towns along the Buchtel-Carbon Hill Road including the communities of Monday, Longstreth and Carbon Hill.   A strong turn out of local citizens and interested guests from the Sunday Creek Watershed Group made for an evening of story telling.
