Haydenville Hosts LC2/Quarterly Potluck; Publish Local Histories

Haydenville was the host for the first quarterly potluck of the year, and the second “Little Cities Learning Community” gathering both held on April 8 at the Fellowship Hall. After a tour of the Haydenville Museum, a discussion of the history of Haydenville followed with readings of excerpts of two volumes of Haydenville History completed during the past year. The histories are available by calling Nyla Vollmer at 740-385-2255. The evening closed with Chink Wolfe, son of a mine owner and a youthful miner himself, discussing his family’s mine in Murray City which operated during the 1930’s-40’s.
