After several experimental efforts to bring the growing archive of photos, documents, books and artifacts in the Little Cities Archive on-line for local history enthusiasts, volunteer Joe Winnenberg has developed a blog-type electronic archive listing that can now be accessed from the home page of the www.littlecitiesofblackdiamonds.org web site. Utilizing the on-line Word Press blog service, he has overcome storage capacity issues and provided additional features. Items are presented in a chronological format from the date posted, with a search feature providing the opportunity to organize of themes by topics of the user's interest. Most items have a photo representation in addition to brief description. Each item has a comment box that allows the visitor to post information, ask questions, or comment. Viewers can then follow these postings as they would on a blog. In addition, the home page provides a list of recent items. Winnenberg's countless hours on this project are joined by the same from LCBD Office manager Cheryl Blosser's devotion to collecting many of these artifacts and the tedious tagging, cataloging, storage work and leadership that volunteer Lilian Winnenberg has offered to the physical archive in Shawnee
