Artisans Tour

Our Artisan Theme packages features visits to the studios of local artisans and arts organizations in the region ranging from world class to off-the-beaten path artists whose mediums range from working with wood to stained glass and primitive pottery.  Featured public locations in the area include the Nelsonville Public Square Arts District, the Rendville Art Works, the SPiCYAM (Southern Perry Youth, Arts and Media Center) and the Rural Action mural corridor.  Many art experiences are centered around Nelsonville’s Final Friday Arts Celebration on the Final Friday of every month from January through November.   Little Cities Experiences offers a “Creation Vacation” arts package each summer where visitors can take a series of art classes over the course of a weekend and take home with them a piece of work they created during their art lessons.  Sub-theme collaboration opportunities include studio tours, primitive art experiences, wood, clay, stained glass and youth arts.

Lodging and Hospitality
Little Cities Experiences has lodging arrangements available with two major lodging vendors: The Inn at Hocking College and Burr Oak Resort & Conference Center, as well as five bed and breakfasts in the area:  Hickory Hill, Wildwood Inn and Lama Farm, Fox Farm and FullBrook Lodge.  Several food caterers are available for lunches at off the beaten path sites as well as local small town diners and one gourmet restaurant, The Rhapsody, in Nelsonville.

Guides & Transportation
Little Cities Experiences provides narrated guide services as part of its packages.  Interpretive hosts are available at many tour sites to welcome visitors.  The service has a fifteen passenger van for small group tours and will sub-contract larger or additional transport.  Step-on guides and site hosts are available to tours who wish to visit the area.
